Trivia: Rushing Yards with Multiple Franchises

by Chase Stuart on May 25, 2014

in Rushing, Trivia

Only two players in NFL history have ever rushed for 5,000 yards with two teams. Can you name either of them?

Here’s a couple of hints for the only player to rush for 5,300+ yards with two different teams.

In fact, only two other players rushed for 2,000 yards with three different teams. No hints here, but I’ll let you think about for a minute.

And hey, let’s close it out with one more: only one player has rushed for 1,000 yards with four different teams. And he hasn’t been named yet in this post.

I like the trivia. My guesses for the 5’000 yarders were the three guys you listed as 4,000 yarders.

I like the trivia, and this one was nice with at least a few easy ones thrown in for us mere mortals.

Any chance of another trivia podcast with Lisk? I tortured my wife with that one in the car and even she was impressed with his knowledge (sorry Chase!).

I’m glad you put the last question in there because I knew he had to be close to some of the other questions.

Great trivia, keep it coming! Very weird that Dickerson and Faulk both played for the Colts and Rams and topped 5,000 for each.

I don’t know the answer(s), but I think this topic would yield some interesting trivia:

1. What QB started the most career playoff games with a defense ranked in the bottom half of the NFL rankings?
2. same but defense in bottom quarter of NFL rankings
3 & 4 — What QB WON the most playoff games with defenses ranked in bottom half/ bottom quarter of NFL rankings?

Before looking at any hints, I assumed Curtis Martin and Jerome Bettis would show up somewhere. Turns out they just gained 10,000 with one team and 3,000 with another.
