While I prefer the Football Perspective Draft Pick Value Calculator, I have created the calculator below for anyone who would like to compare those values against the traditional chart:



Note: Because the JJ Chart only goes to pick 224, I had to interpolate the values of picks 224 to 256.

Using this chart, the Dolphins needed to use the 12th, 42nd, 54th, and 82nd picks to trade up to #3 overall and get a relatively even value. Even though the JJ chart was made before top picks were cheap (making them MORE valuable), you still have the higher picks with lower relative values in your calculator. The JJ chart more accurately reflects what teams use in the draft, so why such a large divergence?
