You could get probably at least a second-round pick and maybe a first-round pick if a team falls in love with the player. You’re giving up one year when you don’t have a quarterback and so have very small championship dreams. Next year, you’d have to pay him big $. So pull a Billy Beane and trade him now. For the Jets, I’d want a pick b/c I want tickets to the QB lottery. If I was another team, I might want a player at a position of weakness. Anyway, these trades don’t happen, but they could and should.
