The NFL takes total KOR yards and divides them by the number that were returned. This figure is the one they use, the NFL isn’t going to try all of your figuring around just to see who the Kickoff Return leader is. They aren’t accountants and don’t want to have to hire any just to figure their stats every week. So until one of these miracle men can best Lynn Chandnois’s 29.6 or Gale Sayers’s 30.6 these two will stay at the top.
