Yeah, that’s another good example. KC was second to last in passing yards, as they finished 3rd-to-last in NY/A and 4th-to-last in attempts. They also ranked 2nd in YPC and 2nd in attempts.

But the ’78 Bucs were 2nd-to-last in NY/A (and far worse than KC) and 3rd-to-last in attempts, so they finished with 131 fewer passing yards. Meanwhile, the Chiefs running game was running up against the scorched earth Patriots. Just a bad year to finish 2nd/2nd.
