People seem to think that Baltimore may win in Denver (it seems to be a trendy pick) and there has been a lot of talk of the intangibles in the game (e.g. Manning’s health against Baltimore’s almost back to health “D”, the glove issue in low temperature games, the altitude and his age etc.). I’m totally not seeing it. My unweighted numbers have it 9, my weighted numbers have it at slightly more (I had it 10 last week unweighted). I see it at best being a touch closer and at 7 (I will really have to sort out my spreadsheet to do points predictions at some point!).

Re: the Green Bay game again people seem to be talking about things outside of the game (e.g. Rodgers being passed over by the 49ers in the draft, Smith now being on the bench, the Packers being at home and the weather). I think the weather is definitely an issue for games in Green Bay at that time of year but I’m not sure if it’s significant. I had the game last week at 5, I still have it at 5 but I think it finishes up at being by 3 (because of things like the Justin Smith factor – totally agree with you about LMJ though, I think he has a big game if he gets and opportunity).
