While that is probably true, keep in mind that Freeman’s opponents have probably played Freeman, Ryan, Newton and Brees, so you need to do some iterating to get true SOS numbers.

Three of his four best games (in ANY/A) have come against those bad defenses. He also had excellent games against SD and MIN, basically average pass defenses. His worst game was against DAL, another bad defense.

While I think Freeman has improved, and the new coaching staff has done an excellent job, some of his improvement is due to a weak schedule.
