Interesting point. But another measure would be success rate based on targets not catches and w/Evans 12th in catch rate among 12 WRs with 125+ targets he might not fare as well.

This took me down a yards per target rabbit hole. Evans' YPT of 7.36 was below the median for that group of highly targeted players. Landry was last w/6.13 and Julio Jones #1 with 9.76. Landry's number was the 15th worst since 1992 (125 target minimum, as far back as p-f-r records go): Chris Chambers has the worst ever with 4.40 YPT on 154 targets in 2006; the only other player under 5 YPT was Peter Warrick who did it back to back in 2000-2001. Jones was down a yard from his 2016 number, which was #6 "all-time" (I suspect not if records went further back). Torry Holt posted 11.76 in 2000 with the Greatest Show on Turf to rank #1 - and Isaac Bruce's 10.90 that same year is #7 on the list. 2000 was a good year for YPT - Randy Moss with 11.14 has the 3rd best season.

James Wilder was an outstanding RB, but playing for those 1984-85 Tampa Bay teams was like having a BB gun in Afghanistan. He was a 6'3 back with surprising speed, minus the fumbling issues of Mike Alstott. Gained 2,844 rushing, with 138 receptions those two years, before the workload wore him down.
