The 2010 Pats were never 4-2. They were 4-1 at week six, while the Jets were 5-1. After the Jets bye, both teams were 5-1 in week 7. The Jets were tied with the Pats at 9-2 as late as week 12. Of course, in week 13 the Pats beat the Jets 45-3. I suppose the Jets got their revenge by upsetting the Pats in the playoffs.

Fun fact: the 2010 Pats pretty much had the best second half of a year possible. They won all 8 games by an average of 37-15, never scored less than 31, committed only one turnover, and beat all four conference championship teams plus Peyton Manning lest you think their schedule was too easy. Then they lost to the Jets in the first round of the playoffs. Momentum, mo-shmentum.
