You are correct. There are 2 safeties every year for the AP All Pro. I was trying to figure that out too. I thought it might be all decade, but only 5 of those guys were all-decade. Cromwell, Woodson and Thomas were not. The other 3 wereHouston, Atwater and Dawkins.

I’m really confused. Doesn’t the AP award that to a safety every year, and haven’t guys like John Lynch and Eric Berry earned them before?
