That&#039;s the gist of what I was saying. Also, I never followed baseball very closely (living in Virginia, we don&#039;t really have a local team; people just follow the Braves or Yankees, mostly), and I only saw Griffey when I was young. Consequently, I very likely remember him with the bias of a child (kind of the way you used to think your mom was the best cook in the world). Mostly, I remember that when he got up to the plate, he looked like he didn&#039;t even have to try. Having never hit a homer in all the years I played baseball, I was insanely jealous of that fact.]]></description>
