I remember they got hammered (at home) by the Eagles that year (40-8). But their other two losses were by only 7 points apiece.

My numbers have that as the worst Skins team in history, right above the 1961 version. I actually have the 54 Skins as the third worst team ever, behind the 42 Lions and 43 Card-Pitt. Seems like back then teams were either really good or really terrible.

I bet if I used z scores to era-adjust, those 81 Colts would look pretty bad too. I’ve gone off topic.
