Too early to tell, I suppose, but I can’t really fault the Bucs. He couldn’t separate himself from Preston Parker or Dezmon Briscoe in 2011, and both were released after the year. Tampa used Dallas Clark as their #3 receiver last year and Tiquan Underwood seemed to pass Benn, too. Looks to me like your classic ‘needs a change of scenery’ type of player. But obviously he’s a longshot to turn into something special. I do think Kelly is a good fit for him, though.
