1973 was a very good year for John Hadl, but he declined late that season, and turned in a terrible performance against the Cowboys in the playoffs. His 7-23 game against the same Dallas team he riddled with four TD passes in the regular season win, likely convinced the Rams Hadl wasn&#039;t the future QB for their contending team. Fortunately, LA found a gullible Packers team willing to pay a huge price for an aging veteran.]]></description>

By 1968 the leagues were pretty close, but the NFL was better all along, with the AFL getting closer and closer each year.]]></description>
