Ray Lewis's career approximate value is 221. Derrick Brooks is the number two LB at 191 (with Junior Seau and Lawrence Taylor just behind). That's a sign of a pretty dominant resume.

Incidentally, while I'm looking at AV, Melvin Ingram had the top AV in the NFL this year at 21. I understand it, but it's surprising.
And Tom Brady is now tied with Brett Favre for second all-time in career (unweighted) AV. He's 16 points behind Peyton Manning. His average season for the last five years produces . . . 16 points. I do have to admit that I would laugh heartily if he played one more year and tied Manning in AV then retired.
