Agreed.  That said, they should likely have won 4 last year.  Football Outsiders had them undershooting their Pythagorean by 3.3 wins, and that&#039;s using the data from a QB clearly in over his head.  Heck, their new QB threw fewer INTs (4) than Kizer had in the red zone (6).

Countering the optimism is that they play the NFC South and the AFC West this year.  The NFC South had the largest cumulative Won-Lost record in the NFL last year.  The AFC West was 3rd lowest, but I think those teams should be better.  That said, it seems like many years what in September looks like a tough schedule in December winds up being a cakewalk and vice versa.]]></description>
