<p>I don&#8217;t have a problem with Darius Slay being in the conversation or making the team.  It&#8217;s not on him that the flaws in the voting process put him on the team ahead of two players who received more votes.</p>

I am glad the AP system is way better than the Pro Bowl system as far as positions go (insofar as it acknowledges that hardly anyone uses fullbacks anymore, and that 3-4 and 4-3 OLB&#039;s are completely different positions, etc).  But as you point out,  the Khalil Mack and AJ Bouye situations highlight some continued flaws.  I hope they keep trying to tweak it.

Having said that, I think Darius Slay is a worthy entry.  He acquitted himself very well against a murderers row of #1 receivers (healthy Odell Beckham, Julio Jones. Thielen/Diggs, Michael Thomas, Antonio Brown, Mike Evans, AJ Green)...all while playing on a defense with one of the worst pass rushes in the league. (I will acknowledge I may be a little biased, given my rooting interests).]]></description>
